Having worked with a wide variety of clients, from professional athletes to those wanting weight loss or rehabilitation following surgery, I pride myself on being dedicated and passionate about getting clients the results they want in the quickest possible time safely.

who I am

My Story

My name is Lee Anderson. I am a qualified Sports Therapist and NASM Certified Personal Trainer.

I completed an advanced Diploma in Sports Therapy in 2005 with the Organisation Of Sports Therapy gaining a Distinction. In 2008 I completed the National Academy of Sports Medicine Certificate in Personal Training followed by the NASM Certificate in Corrective Exercise.

After enduring years of misfortune with injuries myself and struggling to find the right help, I developed a keen interest in the treatment of sports injuries and exercise prescription. Knowing on a personal level how frustrating being injured can be following multiple knee operations, badly sprained ankles and fractured ribs etc, I recognise how important good advice on self-treatment and hands on treatment can be to help aid a speedy recovery.

From the age of 16 to 28 years of age I worked as heavy plant technician which involved a lot of repetitive work, putting a great deal of stress on my body, then following a succession of knee surgeries I started to develop lower back pain. At this point I began to visit different physiotherapists, chiropractors and massage therapists who all gave me good advice but didn’t quite get to the bottom of my long list of ailments. What I discovered is to achieve long lasting results, a combination of corrective exercise, massage, strengthening of weak stabilising muscles and lengthening tight overactive muscles will improve posture, bringing lasting relief.

At the age of 28 I decided enough was enough took a huge leap to change of career, with a vision was to help like-minded people suffering with injuries and chronic pain. In my 17years working as a self-employed sports therapist and personal trainer I’ve been able to help numerous people gaining valuable experience along the way.

How I work

I offer a free initial consultation during which I will discuss your health, nutritional habits, lifestyle and fitness goals. The initial session also includes a fitness assessment Kinetic Chain assessment. The fitness assessment includes blood pressure, height, weight, body fat percentage, and waist/hip ratio.

What I offer

Specialising in one-to-one personal training and corrective exercise either at Balby Fitness Village Doncaster or at a place of your choice, all equipment needed for your session will be provided i.e Kettlebells, Dynabands, Dumbbells, making your training time easy and relaxed. Not only will you be getting fit you will be learning new ways to improve all aspects of your health.

Our popular, non-military style bootcamp promotes functional fitness and there’s no better way to get fit than in the Great Outdoors (whatever the weather!). Each class promises dynamic and challenging routines which vary each week, involving high intensity interval-based training.

So I had a few glasses of red wine 🍷 it’s a bank holiday so what 🤷🏻‍♂️. Still woke up 6 am , can’t go gym not enough time for the bike & I’m going United at 8 30 , but I’m a bit sore from training yesterday & my calves are tight 🤦🏻‍♂️ when I feel good I can push the pain away , every step there’s a twinge & I just breathe & concentrate on putting one foot in front of the other 🏃🏻🏃🏻🏃🏻Injuries have always stopped me with one thing and another but they’ve never beaten me , my hearts to big give up ⬆️ 💪🏻. Friday evening I felt very odd & very anxious it carried on into yesterday morning 🤷🏻‍♂️ don’t know why no particular reason I just did .So once I finished with clients I said right go & do 5km on the treadmill wasn’t particularly trying to smash anything but occasionally I feel the need to remind myself who I am and how far I’ve come in this 45 years on this planet 🌎 tried to up the speed for the last km & tweaked my calf 😩 still managed it in around 27 minutes and then I treated myself too 25 miles on zwift 🚴‍♂️🚴‍♂️🚴‍♂️.The mind is a very powerful thing try telling yourself you can instead of you can’t 👊🏻💪🏻👊🏻💪🏻.& then I swapped the gym around too ❤️✌🏻 .#fitness#mind#anxiety #ican #running#cycling#youaretheplacebo #mentalhealthawareness ... Another session under the belt ✅I reckon it’s been about 8 weeks at least since I’ve felt really well 😩 some bloody virus followed by a cricked neck🤬 managed to work through most of it but my training as been all over the place , start to feel better, only to get something else 🤷🏻‍♂️ I’ve got to the point where I daren’t say I feel good in case something else happens 🤮 any way fuck it I’ve done 4 rides this week two weights sessions not going mad 🤞🏻, keep doing my cold 🥶 and going to bed early and finally I’ll say it I’m feeling a bit better 👊🏻💪🏻.. .When I’m quiet it’s not cos I’ve given up it’s because the only way I can cope is by retreating into my own world and it’s not always a good thing , if you tell people you feel like shit nobody’s really bothered so it’s easier to deal with it on your own , it’s not like they can fix it for you ..One thing I know helps is early nights especially if your up at 5 30 everyday ✅Cold showers ✅ keep you present & keep the chimp in its box 📦 Laughter, stick something funny on it’ll make you smile & that’s got to be good ✅Make sure you turn up no matter how hard it gets ✅ you’ll always feel better once you’ve achieved something no matter how big or small 😀.Once you know what it’s like to feel good , you’ve always got a goal . .#fitness #cycling#strengthandconditioning #personaltrainer #lifestlye #keepsmiling#injuries #mind #feelingbetter #inked #sportstherapist ...
