My name is Lee Anderson.
I am a qualified Sports Therapist and NASM Certified Personal Trainer. I completed an advanced Diploma in Sports Therapy in 2005 with the Organisation Of Sports Therapy gaining a Distinction. In 2008 I completed the National Academy of Sports Medicine Certificate in Personal Training followed by the NASM Certificate in Corrective Exercise.
After enduring years of misfortune with injuries myself and struggling to find the right help, I developed a keen interest in the treatment of sports injuries and exercise prescription.
Knowing on a personal level how frustrating being injured can be following multiple knee operations, badly sprained ankles and fractured ribs etc, I recognise how important good advice on self treatment and hands on treatment can be to help aid a speedy recovery.
From the age of 16 to 28 years of age I worked as heavy plant technician which involved a lot of repetitive work, putting a great deal of stress on my body, then following a succession of knee surgeries I started to develop lower back pain.
At this point I began to visit different physiotherapists, chiropractors and massage therapists who all gave me good advice but didn't quite get to the bottom of my long list of ailments. What I discovered is to achieve long lasting results, a combination of corrective exercise, massage, strengthening of weak stabilising muscles and lengthening tight overactive muscles will improve posture, bringing lasting relief.
At the age of 28 I decided enough was enough took a huge leap to change of career, with a vision was to help like-minded people suffering with injuries and chronic pain. In my 12 years working as a self-employed sports therapist and personal trainer I've been able to help numerous people gaining valuable experience along the way.
